Facing Life's Challenges
The fall brings about many changes in our lives. Some are positive and some may be more challenging. With all challenges we face it can be helpful to have someone to provide support, understanding and guidance. Whether our challenges are due to children, relationships, work or general stress and anxiety, a positive counseling relationship can make a world of difference. Counseling can help to explore behavior, relationships, feelings or thoughts, which trouble us or cause difficulty in our lives. Counseling can also bring about deeper personal insight and awareness, better ways of understanding and coping with problems, and improved relationships which can result in feelings of fulfillment and joy.
Rahat Pye is a clinical social worker who has been providing support for adolescents, adults, couples and families for over 15 years. Rahat aims to provide a safe and non-judgmental setting to explore the impact of these challenges and help individuals to better manage and to live more fulfilling lives. Rahat approaches individuals with compassion, empathy and understanding and believes that by discovering and building on one’s own strengths and resiliencies, we can overcome the struggles in our lives and change the world around us.
Rahat received her Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Toronto in 1997. She is certified to practice by the Ontario College of Social Workers and is a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers. Rahat has two offices, one in the north end of Toronto, at Leslie St. and Sheppard Ave., and a new location at Pape Ave. and Danforth Ave. Rahat is currently open to new clients who wish to explore the benefits of counseling.
